Sinai and Nepali pastors CBSI group in Dimapur

Sinai Ministries is an outreach group made up of mostly young people who minister through music and the Sinai Cafe in Dimapur. They meet on Thursday mornings and have a wonderful time of devotions before starting their study.

This is the Nepali pastors CBSI group in Dimapur. They meet on Saturday morning. We have translated 1 John which they have finished studying and we are now translating the book of James. Pastor Gurung, second from the left, is doing the translations.
The urgent need is to get the other books translated.

The Shillong Pastors interested in CBSI

With me on the left is pastor Hemanta Kafle. On the right side, pastor Lyndoh is in the middle with two other pastors.
Shillong is an educational centre and a place filled with tourists. There are lots of interesting eating places. This one is called City Dhaba.

The crew for Shillong, Meghalaya

Meghalaya is one of the six states in NE India. 'Megh' means cloud and 'alaya' means house. So, the meaning of Meghalaya is house of the clouds. At around 5,000 ft. clouds are not far from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Meghalaya is famous for Cherrapunji, the place where it rains the most in the world.

The unique thing about this state is that the three original tribes of this state, the Khasis, Jaintias and the Garos are matriarchal and among the most literate in India. The children take the surname of the mother and the youngest daughter inherits the family property.

Pastor Subbhas Lyndoh is a Khasi pastor who is working among the Nepali inhabitants in this state. He is all set to start the studies in Nehemiah with other Christian leaders shortly in Shillong.

The picture is that of pastor Lyndoh and three other leaders with me in Shillong. The picture in the last post was that of Shillong.

It took me 10 hours to drive to Shillong and another ten hours to return back to Dimapur.
